Dr. Chen Luxenburg
Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine
Research work
Dr. Luxenburg is an assistant professor at the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, the Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Luxenburg completed his Ph.D. studies at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot and his post-doctoral training at the Rockefeller University in New York.
The Luxenburg lab studies how epidermal stem cells give rise to a functional tissue during development, maintain it throughout life, and regenerate it upon wounding.
All the projects utilize state-of-the-art methods to genetically engineer stem cells in utero, advanced microscopy, and various molecular and cellular methods in vivo and in vitro.
