Dr. Dan Dominissini
Genomics
Dr. Dominissini is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University, head of a research group in the field of RNA biology and modifications, deputy director of the Sheba Cancer Research Center and director of the clinical hematology laboratory at the Sheba Medical Center.
Dr. Dominissini holds a PhD in biochemistry from Tel-Aviv University. He performed his postdoctoral work at The University of Chicago, USA in the field of chemical biology.
Dr. Dominissini made fundamental and pioneering contributions to the understanding of the role of RNA methylation in control of gene expression. For these achievements he has been awarded many research grants and prizes including the Science Magazine & SciLifeLab Prize in genomics and proteomics for an outstanding contribution to science.
