Dr. Tiberiu Shulimzon

Dr. Shulimzon has been a physician at Sheba Medical Center for the last four decades. His professional career covers the fields of Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Intensive/Critical Care and Respiratory Medicine. He is one of the founders of the Interventional Pulmonology (IP) specialty in Israel and serves as Director of the IP unit at Sheba since 2014. Dr Shulimzon is certified as a specialist in Israel and UK and received clinical fellowships in Basel (Switzerland) and Marseille (France).

His research interest on pulmonary regeneration technologies is focused on endoscopic procedures for lung volume reduction and injectable scaffolds for tissue engineering (in cooperation with Prof. Meital Zilberman from the TAU Dept. Of Biomedical Engineering).
