About the Grant:

 

The Sagol Center for Regenerative Medicine (SCRM), is pleased to announce the availability of Research Grants in the broader fields of regenerative biology and medicine, covering basic, translational, and clinical studies.

 

We encourage cross-disciplinary collaborations among all faculty members at Tel Aviv University and affiliated hospitals. Special consideration will be given to proposals that push the boundaries of traditional disciplines and offer fresh approaches to regenerative and personalized medicine linking the regenerative process to rejuvenation.

 

About the Center:

 

The Sagol Center for Regenerative Medicine (SCRM) at the Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, under the direction of Prof. Benjamin Dekel, is an advanced, interdisciplinary platform that integrates regenerative biology with personalized medicine to translate scientific discoveries into clinical applications. The Center is committed to accelerating research that paves the way for transformative treatments and medical technologies.

 

Eligibility:

(1) Applications are open to TAU Faculty members from TAU campus or TAU-affiliated institutions.

(2) Researchers may submit proposals alone or in collaboration with colleagues, but may only participate in one proposal, whether as Principal Investigator (PI) or collaborator.

(3) Previous winners of the SCRM Grant are not eligible to apply.

 

Grant Amount:

35,000 NIS for one year.

 

Proposal Format:


Applications must be submitted as a single PDF file, maximum 3 pages, using Arial or Times New Roman 11pt font with 1.5 line spacing and included the following:

 

1.Abstract (up to half a page)
2.Scientific Background (up to half a page)
3.Research Aims: Include impact, relevance, and mode of collaboration (if applicable) (up to half a page)
4.Research Plan and Preliminary Data (up to one page)
5.Budget Justification (1–2 lines)
6.References (up to 10 references, up to half a page)
 

Ethical Approvals:

For clinical research, please attach a Helsinki Committee authorization or a statement confirming the approval process is underway.

For animal research, include IACUC approval or a statement confirming submission is in progress.

 

Evaluation:

All applications, after passing the Grant Committee’s initial evaluation for suitability, will be evaluated by external referees. The Grant Committee reserves the right to reject applications if they do not meet the criteria.
